mom wants playboy out of library

wednesday, november 2, 2005

as a mother of two children under the age of 5, i find the whole controversy about playboy in the oak lawn library very disturbing. why are the library board members using tax dollars to provide pornography to a handful of potentially dangerous individuals who want to look at dirty pictures for free?

why do the board members ignore the concerns of the majority of the patrons they exist to serve, especially women and children, who must share the same public place with sexually aroused, deviant men?

as a mount greenwood resident, i would frequently visit oak lawn library, as it has a large children's selection. i no longer feel safe bringing my children to the library now that i realize that pornography is being made available to perverts.

we will not return until the porn is gone.
